We use: Natural, Vegan, Cruelty-Free, Non-Toxic Soy Wax 100 % cotton wick All amber jars have a slightly rustic look and can have slight marks on the glassware.

Never burn this candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Do not allow the flame to touch the glass. Always burn for 3-4 hours on the first burn to ensure an even melt pool. Ensure the wick is upright, above the wax and central before the wax sets. Always trim the wick to 5mm before lighting to avoid smoking and damage to the glass. The glass may become hot during use. Extinguish when 5mm of wax is left and do not relight. Keep away from draughts.

Sadly some Confusion with personalised messages

We ordered quite a few as Christmas gifts for our clients at work as we like to support small businesses and thought these were lovely.

Initially I spoke to customer service about putting in the bulk order all together, at first they seemed responsive but this seemed to fall off slightly so I went ahead and ordered them all individually. It's Christmas so I understood that this was a busy time.

They were quickly despatched which were great but then we started to hear from some of the recipients 'if the candle they had received was from us' as some didn't have the personalised message on the candle as advertised and then was missing a gift note inside too.

From looking at the image I was pretty sure that the personalised message you wrote would actually be on the candle and not on a note in the box but some where and some had notes and then some had neither which was confusing for everyone.

I did reach out to customer service to see if they had any images of what they had sent, so we could let our clients know they were from us but received a short response saying the below:

We apologize for the inconvenience. I think there was a problem with the gift cards. Due to the busy Christmas season, there can sometimes be confusion.

Of course we understand it's Christmas and with a lot of orders and tight deadlines mistakes can be made but there wasn't an offer to try to help rectify their issue which you would expect from a business when something isn't quite right or as advertised.

So overall, lovely product but I'm left a little bit disappointed with the service as a whole. I feel more could have been done and the product should be as advertised (with the message on the actual candle.)

A fix to this would be to specify if you want generic text on the candle or your personalisation, or if you want it as a message in the box.
